R. Scott Swann History

scottR. Scott Swann is a second generation builder who has been living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years. His dad worked on Frank Llyod Wright midwest homes in the 40’s, carefully maintaining and preserving the rich architectural heritage of those homes -- a tradition which Scott carries on today. Scott moved to the Bay Area in 1985 to work in construction and gained his General Contractor license in 1992. Having studied construction and drafting in college, Scott is able to work with architects and understands how to interpret architectural drawings. Swann General Contracting can also offer clients drafting services for residential projects, saving time and money for their clients.

Scott has spent the last twenty years working on remodeling projects throughout the Bay Area of all shapes and sizes.

"San Francisco Victorian home remodels taught me about the importance of no detail too small while allowing me to appreciate the history of working on period homes."

Having lived within the Eichler community for the last 15 years, Scott has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for Eichler homes. Most Eichler homes are now approaching 60 years which means they need maintenance and updating. Scott's approach is to keep the unique appeal of the Eichler homes in tact, while bringing in improved modern building techniques for added comfort, durability and efficiency.
